Electronic commerce: challenges of Eurasian integration
Feb 28, 2013 01:00 PM
Nowadays the processes of economic integration have gained intensity at the level of European Union and Asian-Pacific region. While goods turnover is constantly growing up, traditional means of logistics and trade cannot support this process. Geopolitical location of Russia which presupposes transit not only of goods and technologies but also socio-political trends in the direction Europe-Russia-Asia-the Far East obliges it to participate actively in the process of building the structure of economic and trading connections between countries and regions at a new level.
Effective solutions to this problem are not possible without global implementation of tools of e-commerce and cross border cooperation. A number of countries make attempts to build necessary infrastructure but this attempts resolve only local problems of individual regions and states. Modern state of economic processes sometimes indicates hopelessness of some isolationist measures for counteraction to crisis phenomena and it predetermined the creation of global international institutions – SCO, APEC, Group of Twenty (where Russia presides now). The organizers of the conference proceed from the necessity of complex approach in the network of the whole Eurasian territory.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and the non-commercial organization of Russia “Association of Electronic Trading Platforms” with support of expert community from different countries propose the idea of international forum which will create conditions for resolving formulated problems.
