Many Swedish local authorities, county councils and government authorities have started with e-procurement. The Single Face To Industry (SFTI) is a joint effort between the local, regional and national government, under the leadership of the Swedish Association of Local Authorities (SKL) and the Swedish National Finance Management Authority (ESV). SFTI includes several important features:

• Development of standard business processes, messages and data for different scenarios.
• Participation in international standardisation activities (such as CEN/BII)
• Representation from both public and private sector suppliers and IT providers
• Awareness building

PEPPOL offers the opportunity to connect Swedish organisations with other European economic operators and public sector organisations. PEPPOL also makes it possible to align national standards and infrastructure solutions with other member states.
