Consortium Members
Greece participates in the PEPPOL project with two partners: the Special Secretariat for Digital Planning (SSDP) and the University of Piraeus, department of Digital Systems (UPRC) as direct Beneficiaries.
SSDP is a special division of the Ministry of Development which is responsible for the overall strategy and initiation of projects in various eGovernment areas, including public eProcurement and is responsible for the strategic and operational planning concerning the development and deployment of new IT systems. Under this capacity, SSDP has taken the lead in providing political and operational support to PEPPOL and promoting the project within the central government and the wider public sector.
UPRC is responsible for all operational and technical implementation tasks, including recruitment of pilot participants and enablement of PEPPOL pilots in Greece. Where appropriate and necessary, UPRC works with relevant National Consortium Partners. Furthermore, its procurement department will be a PEPPOL pilot as a contracting authority.
The supported PEPPOL components are as follows:
- PEPPOL Infrastructure (PEPPOL Access Point, PEPPOL SMP, PEPPOL SML)
- Virtual Company Dossier (VCD Designer, VCD Builder, Reference implementation)
- eSignature (XKMS responder)
- eCatalogue pre-award and post-award
- eOrdering
- eInvoicing
The current PEPPOL pilots are as follows: eSignature pilot, National VCD Service pilot, Pre-award and post-award DYPE pilot (4th Healthcare Region in Northern Greece, Thessaloniki Region, which acts as an intermediate eProcurement organisation for 14 hospitals), Post-award UPRC pilot
