Call for tenders to be published - Subcontracting a provider of eID/e-signature validation service to PEPPOL
The PEPPOL work package on eSignatures (WP1) shall pilot solutions for validation of eIDs and e-signatures used across borders in Europe. In WP1, Bremen online services (bos) develops software that will be used in PEPPOL pilots. In addition to this, and in accordance with WP1 plans, Difi will explore the alternative of utilising commercial validation services in the market for the validation task.
Progress of the PEPPOL project
The second year of operations in the PEPPOL project has resulted in significant progress towards the goals derived from the broader vision of PEPPOL that any company (incl. SMEs) in the EU can communicate electronically with any EU governmental institution for all procurement processes.
D8.2 Version 1.0 of the PEPPOL Infrastructure
The aim of this deliverable is to support the implementation of the PEPPOL eProcurement pilots by describing the building blocks needed for implementing Pan European eDelivery BusDox (Business Document Exchange) in the PEPPOL Transport Infrastructure. These descriptions are applicable to both Contracting Authorities and their Suppliers (Economic Operators) and their technology and/or service providers.
D7.4b Business Case Scenarios
The aim of the document is to describe business case scenarios for the stakeholders of the outcome of the PEPPOL project, and the benefits of Business Cases as key component of the “marketing kit” (see below). We need to rely on sound and concrete examples showing benefits to join the PEPPOL community. We will focus to specific actions with the HOBs to collect description of more Business cases that witness the successful use of PEPPOL.
D7.4a Report and evaluation of campaigns I
The aim is to give an evaluation on the PEPPOL PR campaigns during the first 2 years.

The aim of this deliverable is to support the implementation of the PEPPOL eInvoicing pilots by specifying the building blocks needed for connecting business applications using the PEPPOL Infrastructure. The aim is to set the PR and communication strategies and the related actions for the remaining period of the project, in order to maximize the effect of creating “impact on eProcurement in Europe”.

The aim of this deliverable is to support the implementation of the PEPPOL eProcurement pilots by describing the components needed and building block provided for implementing eSignature validation into the PEPPOL Infrastructure. These descriptions are applicable to both Contracting Authorities and their Suppliers (Economic Operators) and their technology and/or service providers. Implementation of these specifications, in conjunction with the PEPPOL Transport Infrastructure (Deliverables 8.2), addresses the PEPPOL Infrastucture on Technical interoperability layers of the European Interoperability Framework (EIF) version 2.0.

The 7th quarter of the PEPPOL project starting 1.11.2009 was the first quarter of operation for the four newcomers to the PEPPOL consortium: · Research Centre for Biomaterials (EKEVYL), national authorised representative, Greece. · Agência Nacional de Compras Públicas (ANCP), national authorised representative, Portugal. · Scottish Government (ScotGov), regional representative, UK. · Ekonomistyrningsverket, National Financial Management Authority (ESV), national authorised representative, Sweden.
NEW VERSION OF OPEN E-PRIOR RELEASED
New version of open e-PRIOR published on OSOR.eu Open e-PRIOR is the first e-Procurement implementation which enables the exchange of electronic business documents using the data models of CEN/ISSS WS/BII (http://spec.cenbii.eu/). It delivers an embedded PEPPOL Access Point, which provides a great opportunity for Customers wishing to participate in the PEPPOL pilot that will commence in May 2010 (http://www.peppol.eu).
Reference Implementation Tool
The Reference Implementation is a tool created to support Public Administrations and Economic Operators in designing and managing eCatalogues. Main features of the Reference Implementation, applicable both to pre-award and post-award phase of the public procurement procedures, are related to the standardization of procedures, formats and contents to simplify Catalogues exchange between Businesses and Administrations. For the post award part, the tool is fully compliant with the European Committee for Standardization (CEN/BII) “Catalogue Only” profile, while in the pre-award part it complies to a PEPPOL-defined profile which represents the basis for the standardization work brought forward by the CEN/BII 2 Workshop. We underline that this is a draft version that represent a Work-in-Progress of the tool development.
